Some notes on eggs: I use eggs from a local farm delivery service because their eggs are verified free range. If you are deciding between conventional eggs and free range, there are a few nutritional benefits and health benefits to using high quality, free range eggs. Not only do eggs from chickens raised properly taste better, but the risk for salmonella contamination is greatly reduced. Since the chickens have more space to live, infectious diseases are less common and do not spread as quickly among free range chickens. Besides this, free range eggs have less fat and cholesterol, and contain more of their essential nutrients: vitamin A, vitamin E, and omega 3 fatty acids. When buying free range you really get more bang for your buck while providing your own body with more of the nutrients it craves. Win-win!
