I can’t believe it’s already been 7 months since my visit to the Taj Mahal last February! As I prepare to leave Europe in about a month and a half, and head back to India, I have been revisiting my last trip in India, and making plans to visit many of the beautiful places I missed last time.
On the list this time around are Mumbai, Goa, more of Kerala, Chennai, and hopefully down to Sri Lanka this time. But, Rishikesh is always on my mind, so maybe I will spend a few weeks there before heading south. Let’s see!
It’s funny, when I made the decision to visit India last year, I also made the decision not to visit the Taj Mahal. I was going to India not for sightseeing and touristy situations, but for yoga, nature, and culture.
But as you can see, I ended up going to the Taj Mahal with my family, and it was absolutely, 110% worth the visit.
With a tour group, we arrived in Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, in the evening, and planned on visiting the Taj the next morning.
But we got a little surprise sneak visit that evening despite the impending rain:
And at the start of the next very sunny day, we went inside the Taj Mahal and were memorized by the world’s largest mausoleum:
What a beautiful place! What was your impression of the Taj Mahal?
