This chocolate, peanut butter, coconut, banana smoothie has quite a name, but I did not want to leave out any of the ingredients, as each is equally as important as the next to make this delicious, dessert smoothie. A few weeks ago, I made the mistake of purchasing chocolate flavored coconut water, instead of regular, and had no idea what to do with it.
In need of some ideas on how to use this chocolate coconut water, I asked the users of Reddit.com for some help. The suggestions I got were to drink it plain as a chocolate milk alternative, because the chocolate coconut water is pretty sweet, or to mix it with some vodka, which sounded kind of good. Plus, if I mixed chocolate coconut water with vodka, I figured the coconut water might re-hydrate me at the same time, sort of like a grown up version of the “Vatorade,” vodka mixed with Gatorade, I used to drink in my underage days…
But, instead of mixing it with alcohol, or drinking it straight, I thought a dessert type smoothie would be nice. So I blended a little chocolate coconut water, some bananas, a big spoonful of chunky peanut butter, and a dollop of coconut oil to make a rich, creamy, sweet dessert smoothie.
